Hello! My name is Adina. I’m a 24 year old Aboriginal Australian, living in Sydney.
I’ve had problems sleeping for most of my life. As I have gotten older the problems have only gotten worse. At night I lay awake and stare at the ceiling recounting all the day’s social faux pauses that I committed.
At night I also like to worry. I worry about the weather. I worry about my family who live on the other side of the country. I worry about my pet bird. I worry about EVERYTHING!
Not being able to sleep is the most frustrating thing about my life. Other than not being able to sleep I’m very happy. I have a good job and good mates.
I started this blog in order to share my stories with the world and to talk about how insomnia affects my life, your life, or even your friends and family who may suffer from it. I’m hoping by writing things out that I’m thinking about will be cathartic and help me find some peace.
If you have any personal ways that help you overcome your insomnia, please let me know. I’ll try anything at this point.
